Reduced mobility person (PMR)

Person with reduced mobility (PRM) is whose mobility is limited due to any physical disability (sensory or locomotory), deterioration of intellectual faculties, or any other cause of disability when using transport medium and whose situation needs special attention and adaptation of services made available to all passengers on the needs ​​ of that person. The aeronautical standards for safety in case of emergency evacuations and limit the number of PRM traveling in an aircraft or requires, under certain conditions, be accompanied. Rights of PMR

Aeronova not refuse a PRM except when he can not be transported safely or not can physically accommodate. If a PMR travel with a guide dog, it will be carried in the passenger cabin, in accordance with the rules of the airline. The guide dog will not be included in the computation of animals in the cabin, and no amount will be charged for it. Neither will be charged to the PMR for the transport of the basic objects that facilitate mobility and other essential aids for disability. Aeronova take all reasonable steps to prevent loss or deterioration of objects that facilitate or other mobility aids in cases of disability. Where such loss or damage occurs, perform Aeronova appropriate to meet the immediate needs of individual mobility arrangements, accredited by the passenger.

Buy or reserve

The aviation regulations limit the number of passengers with reduced mobility (PRM), depending on the size of the aircraft and the level of service requested. Pregnant

Aeronova advised against traveling by plane when the gestation period exceeds 32 weeks and even 7 days after childbirth. Children

Kids between 2 and 12 years olds are considered. Children over 2 years of age are entitled to seat and baggage allowance. Babies between 1 and 24 months will share seat with an adult. Children between 5 and 12 years may travel alone if the requirements detailed in “Unaccompanied Minors” are met.

Unaccompanied Minor (UM)

As a general rule, children under 12 must travel with an adult, which must be of legal age, although in Aeronova’s flights a minor can travel unaccompanied, under certain conditions, with our service for unaccompanied minors. This service consists in the accompaniment in the boarding, during the trip, and at arrival of these children, who are under the care of handling staff and flight personnel. For children whose age range between 5 and 12 years old, accompanient shall be mandatory, due to aviation regulations and safety. Should be consulted, depending on destination, if you need to purchase a specific fee. For those under 18, who have reached age of 12, the accompaniment is an optional service. The aviation regulations limit the number of unaccompanied minors per aircraft, so it is important to tell your request at time of booking, which must be confirmed by Aeronova, to guarantee service. Under 5 years old will not be accepted for unaccompanied travel.

Requirements

The mature adults accompanying the child at the departure airport, must be presented in good time at the airport, in order to complete the Disclaimer document, providing the details of the person making the delivery of the child, as well as the person who is going to receive the child on arrival.

This person must deliver when checking minor documentation al follow: Ticket with confirmed booking for the whole trip. Disclaimer duly completed, with contact details of the person / s who will receive the child. Passport and visas, if required, and any additional documentation. The adult does not leave the airport until the departure of the aircraft. An older adult take care of the child and be waiting at the arrival airport, identifying his self to the company to receive the child. To this end, he must prove his identity by presenting the relevant document and sign the disclaimer to receive the child. Reservation service unaccompanied minors in cases of connecting flights with other carriers, or Aeronova flights when the trip requires an overnight stop-over with an intermediate level are not allowed. Handling staff will take care of the child from the moment the flight starts boarding at the Passenger Terminal, with completed documentation and checking, accompanying him on the plane, and deliver it to the flight crew, which conveniently accommodate him on board in a designated seat and taking care of him. Handling staff will meet the minor at the arrival, taking him to the / s person / s authorized / s in the Disclaimer document at the Passenger Terminal. This person / s authorized / s must prove his identity by presenting his ID / Passport.

Special luggage

Power wheelchair

Flight Acceptance: To avoid possible damage to the aircraft and to the overall flight safety, power wheelchairs only can be accepted flight on cargo compartiment, provided the following requirements are met:

  • Dry batteries wheelchair: Wheelchairs equipped with leak-tight may be carried as checked baggage whenever the battery is disconnected, the terminals are insulated to prevent short circuits and the battery is properly secured to the wheelchair.
  • Wet batteries wheelchair: Wheelchairs equipped with spillable batteries may be carried as checked baggage, provided that the wheelchair can be loaded, stowed, secured and unloaded always in an upright position and that the battery is disconnected and secured to chair and its terminals are insulated to prevent possible accidents. If these requirements are not met, the battery must be removed from chair, and then, can be carried as checked baggage. Battery must be packed as follows: The packaging must be watertight, impervious to electrolyte and be protected against violent movements. The batteries must be protected against short circuits, go upright in packaging surrounded absorbent material.
  • Excess Baggage tax: Power wheelchairs will be considered personal items or accessories and therefore not subject to excess baggage charges, provided that the use thereof is indispensable in case of Special Catagories of Passengers, which should be reserved as SCP in the flight log.
