  • Passengers with impaired sight and/or hearing
  • Passengers with limbs in plaster casts
  • Passengers with intellectual disability
  • Passengers who need to travel on a stretcher
  • Passengers who need to travel with oxygen on board

How can I request the assistance service?

Depending on when the flight is departing, you can request assistance through one channel or another.

More than 48 hours to departure

Through our website, you can indicate your type of special need while booking the flight. We’ll send you confirmation of your assistance request upon completion of the booking.

Less than 48 hours to departure

By calling our Customer Services Centre. Once you have called, we’ll send you confirmation of your assistance.

Less than 24 hours to departure

Contact the airport directly to request the service. They will send you confirmation.

*The number of persons with special needs who can travel on one flight is limited. It is best to book as far in advance as possible to ensure you get a seat on the desired flight.

What do I have to do on the day of the flight?

Go to the meeting point at the airport two hours before scheduled departure. We recommend contacting the airport a few days in advance to set a time to meet. Otherwise, you can use the interphone that you’ll find at the meeting point and airport staff will come to fetch you.

You can also go directly to the Vueling check-in desks and we’ll let the assistance service know you’re here.

The airport assistance staff will accompany you at all times: from check-in through to your seat on the plane.

For more information, please refer to guide for passengers with special needs.

Pregnant women and larger passengers

Pregnant women

  • If you’re pregnant, you can fly with us right up to week 27 (inclusive) without having to bring a medical certificate.
  • If you’re between weeks 28 and 35 (inclusive), you must bring the original medical authorisation confirming that you are able to fly. This authorisation must also include its period of validity (start and end date) and the doctor’s medical board number and signature.
  • From week 36 of their pregnancy onwards, pregnant women may not fly for reasons relating to the health and safety of the mother and her unborn child.

Remember…

  • You needn’t tell us that you’re pregnant during the booking.

Larger passengers

  • You can request a double space to fly by booking an extra seat while purchasing the flight through our website. If you wish to book more than one extra seat, you can do so by calling our Customer Services Centre.

We would like to remind you that…

  • For safety reasons, if you need a seatbelt extension, you may not occupy the XL seats by the emergency exits.

Unaccompanied minors

Because we know how important your child’s safety is to you when they travel alone, at Vueling we offer a special unaccompanied minor service.

Below we explain how it works so that you’ll have the peace of mind on knowing that your child will be in the best possible hands from the moment their journey begins till they arrive at their destination.

Before flying

You can take out our unaccompanied minor service when booking your flight on our website, by contacting our Customer Services Centre or through our sales offices at the airport. The service costs 427.43 each way for domestic flights and 522.42 each way for international and Canary Island flights.

The person who accompanies the child must remain at the airport until the plane has taken off. This person and the person picking up the child at their final destination must be those specified on the assistance form.

At the check-in desk, we will verify the documentation and perform the check-in. One of our assistants will accompany your child to the boarding gate, where they will be met by a member of the cabin crew. Your child will not be left on their own at any time!

We will notify you about any incident that may occur and give your child all the care and attention they need. What is more, you can check the flight status at our website or App, so you’ll always be kept informed!

The flight

Your child is our number one priority, so they will be among the first to board the plane and they will travel in the most suitable seat and be looked after throughout the flight.

Our cabin crew will take special care of your child and give them all the help and attention they need.

Arrival at their destination

If your child is travelling with a checked bag, we will accompany them to the conveyor belt to collect their baggage. Then, we will accompany them to the exit, where they will be met by the person who has come to pick them up.

Rest assured! We will verify that the identity of that person matches the details you gave us.

• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • •

We recommend…

  • If your child has never flown before, prepare them for this exciting adventure.
  • Make sure that your child is not taking a very heavy carry-on bag.
  • Don’t forget to put something in their carry-on bag that will keep them entertained.
  • You can put a packed lunch in their carry-on bag, or you can choose our kids’ menu that is specially designed for young children! (not included in the fare).
  • If your child has any allergies or there’s something you think we should know about, you can slip a note into the bag containing their documentation.
  • Remind your child that they must not take off the ID card during the journey.
  • And, above all, we recommend arriving at the airport in sufficient time for us to allocate your child a seat close to the cabin crew.
